Procedure for Arrival: On Game Day #1, September 12, please arrive 30 minutes early to check in at the REGISTRATION TABLE, pick up your YLS Team Jersey, and get organized with your team coach on the correct field.  On all other game days, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your game time.  If you know you will absent on any day, please contact the YLS Directors at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Game Day:
1.  All players must have their own lacrosse helmet, shoulder pads, gloves, elbow pads, stick, cup, cleats, mouth guard.  These are REGULATION ITEMS for all lacrosse events.  Participation is not permitted in any game until all items are present.
2.  All players must wear the provided YLS TEAM JERSEY.  Players get to keep them, and please do not forget them.  There will not be any extras, and wearing other jerseys is not approved.
3.  Player equipment will be placed on designated sidelines according to a Field Map that will be provided.  Please be in the habit of keeping bags closed to protect your belongings.  The YLS staff is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
4.  3 games will be going on at a time every hour from 3pm until 8pm.  We will start each game and halftime simultaneously with a single horn.  Each team must be prepared to play on time.
5.  Players must have helmets on when throwing around or shooting, even before each game starts and during breaks.  Safety is a priority and we take this very seriously, especially when there is not a lot of open space beyond the playing fields.  Players that ignore the expected safety guidelines are not permitted to play in any games schedules for the day of the violation.
6.  Players must leave the playing field and sideline as soon as possible to leave enough time for the next teams to organize for their games.

PARENTS, SIBLINGS, FANS: There will be sidelines for parents and siblings to sit opposite of the players at each field.  Feel free to bring any type of chair or blanket to sit on during the games.
HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT STAND OR SIT BEHIND ANY GOAL AT ANYTIME, AND ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ALLOW ANY CHILDREN TO STAND OR PLAY BEHIND ANY GOAL.  If you need to walk to a far field , please walk behind the fences.

All Players and Spectators Are Expected To:
1.  Keep the language clean and comments appropriate.  Root for your team, not against the opponent.
2.  Act as professionally as you know how, and demand the same from everyone around you.  These are kids playing in a competitive league to improve their skills, learn about a great game, make a lot of connections in the lacrosse world, and develop the necessary components for higher level play.
3.  Keep the atmosphere competitive, yet fun and positive
4.  Help keep the facilities clean and orderly by replacing items moved, and by THROWING ALL TRASH AWAY, PLEASE.  This is a great campus and we hope to keep it that way.
ANY ABUSIVE LANGUAGE OR PHYSICAL AGGRESSION/RETALIATION TOWARDS A PLAYER, COACH, REFEREE, OR STAFF MEMBER IS SUBJECT TO AN EJECTION FROM THE GAME, REMOVAL FROM THE CAMPUS, AND DISQUALIFICATION FROM ALL PARTICIPATION IN THE 2009 YLS FALL CHAMPIONS LAX LEAGUE.  THERE WILL BE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR IN WHAT SHOULD BE A FUN EVENT FOR ATHLETE PARTICIPATION AND COMPETITION.  ANY CONCERNS WITH THIS POLICY SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. WEATHER:
Please assume that we will begin on time in the event of rain, snow, sun.  However, in the event of lightening and severe weather watches/warnings, we will email and post the necessary game cancellations.  There is no shelter at the fields should severe weather emerge in the middle of a game.  Parents should stay either on campus or within a 5 mile radius on game days to ensure quick response time and in case of potential injury.
There are no partial reimbursements for days or times missed for any reason. We will do our best to make up time when realistically possible as long as field space is available.  That does mean a non-Sunday might have to be used to get a game in.

HEALTH:
An athletic trainer certified in First Aid/CPR will be on site each Sunday.  Please notify them with any injuries that occur during the games that require specific attention.  PLEASE DO NOT ASK THEM TO TAPE LIMBS AND JOINTS PRIOR TO GAMES.  They are on site as responders only.
If there are health concerns that have developed that were not included as part of your online registration, please notify YLS immediately at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it so that we can be as accommodating as possible.  The phone numbers you provided as emergency numbers are the ones we use for contact.  If that information has changed, please provide your mobile number.  Please keep that particular phone on and close by at all times.
For contact sports, parents should not be in the habit of traveling beyond 5 miles away from a practice or game field.  Please be prepared to respond to any situation even though we have athletic trainers and first aid kits on site.
